Kelsey’s Restaurant

Went to Kelsey’s for Mother’s Day lunch today and found that they literally have ZERO Vegan options. They do have vegetarian options but they all have some kind of dairy in them. I’m sure that’ll be the case at most chain restaurants but here’s my story from today

Health Changes

I have to say that in just over a week of veganism I have noticed some awesome changes in my health.

I must have had some sort of dairy allergy that I didn’t know about because without realizing it I could barely breath through my nose before. Did some Googling and found that a lot of other people have had the same experience as I’m having. Breathing feels great right now.

Blocked nostrils no more!

Dinner at Mondragon in Winnipeg. Southern fried Tofu sandwich. Very good. Got it with some awesome Mushroom Millet soup on the side. Great place that serves only vegan food.

Reblog 0 notes

So I was thinking this morning it might be a good idea to post why it was that I decided to go Vegan. Two things. A documentary called Earthlings which you can watch as I’ve put it in this post. Saw a clip on Youtube of Ellen Degeneres talking about it being what turned her Vegan so I figured I would watch it.

The 2nd thing that pushed me was a book called “Eating Animals” by Jonathan Safran Foer. He wrote an amazing book on the reasons why we eat what we do, how it gets made and the things that are wrong with the meat/animal-by-products industry. In my opinion, I think everyone who eats meat should read this book. That won’t happen obviously. But it should.

Quote for the day: “If slaughter houses had glass walls, everyone would be vegan”
